Having trouble getting DD to nap during the day

I hope someone can help me. I'm struggling to get my 10 week dd to sleep during the day. She sleeps fine at night (once I get her down) but during the day is proving difficult.

She's EBF an won't take a bottle or dummy nor milk from a cup. The only way I can get her to sleep is to feed her till she falls off.

In the last week or so she has been waking up 5 or 10 mins after I put her down and wants back on to suck but just as a more of a comfort thing. Yesterday she was up 5 times during her nap and it's starting to get pretty painful (but only on one side)

Also I can only really get her to take one main nap of around 2 hours in the middle of the day and by bedtime she's exhausted and crabbit as hell. On the odd occasion she'll have 15 mins in my arms around 4 or 5. She won't self settle in her basket or pram. And due to this rotten weather if not been getting out to see if that helps.

I don't have a sling to put her in only a baby bjorn (I know many people don't like them but it was a present) and I don't really want to go the sling route as I want to get her sleeping where she should, if you get what I mean.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong and it's starting to get to me. I now don't want to leave the house at the time she should be napping or at any point as she's just grumpy. I almost wish I didn't start BFing her and if I have any more kids, I'd be scared to try BFing again should I have another baby like her!

I know it's probably a phase "that will pass" but when I hear her waking in the monitor my heart sinks.

I'm on my iPhone so apologise for any dodgy spelling or grammar (also I'm dyslexic) but in summary HELP!!

Hi liz, not much help but I'm in the same boat with my 14 wk old. But now the feeding to sleep has stopped working and I have nothing left... Everything has stopped working! It is now a case of luck in the pram or a lot of crying and then eventual sleep from exhaustion. I too won't go out because of the crying and the neighbourhood must be fed up of me pacing around with the pram and a screeching baby. I'm hoping it is a phase as dd has had some good phases and longish sleeps in the day. this week, every day, she has had no more than 1 hour per day, I don't know how she does it. I've just walked around the block, let her cry in the bouncer and then rocked her until she fall asleep and she is now in the pram with ocean sounds playing on the iPod. It took one hour for an afternoon nap! Ill watch this with interest and offer my full sympathies and hugs. Fingers crossed we will laugh about this in a few week. X

I'm honestly terrified of the day that feeding her to sleep no longer works! Sad

The rain has finally stopped here so duh has taken her out the pram in the hope that it helps her sleep.

I don't know why they fight sleep so much!
