Hi everyone,
Ok so i think my original problem has changed why will my 6month old DS only sleep for 45 minutes at a time in his cot but soundly all night with me? this is a fairly recent development which has progessed from him moving around the cot and needing help to resettle. After a few times (3-4) a night I brought him in to sleep with me now I am loath to say I may have created a problem in that I dont think it has much to do with his movement anymore he is just waking. For the sake of my sanity he spends half the night in his cot and half with me, honestly I have tried but after tending him 4 times at 45 minute intervals I have to get some sleep. Like I say this is a fairly new develpoment so maybe if I deal with it quickly..... DH gonna try dealing with him tonight but I have a feeling this will result in a lot of frustration and crying. I should add I do get a few hours sound sleep at the beginning of the night. Have I created a co-sleeping issue?

We had our daughter in with us for 3 months for exactly the same reason she sleeps pretty well with us HaTed her cot! But when she was 10 months i finally cracked after having to go to bed at 7 with her! And did quite a lot of night weaning at first so she didn't fall asleep with boob in mouth then progressed to cot, it was difficult but not as hard as I thought it would be. We have had to leave her to cry which has been heartbreaking but really has been the only way for us. I hope that helps a bit, it's hard but I think you are right sooner rather than later good luck x
