What is your bed time routine with a baby and a toddler?

Just wondering how others do bedtime.
I'm often on my own.

DD1 is 2.2 and has milk, bath, pjs, bedtime story then bed
DD2 is two months adjusted and has kick with nappy off, into pjs and bag, breastfeed and bed.

Tonight I got them both settled at 8.30 (which is my aim) but it involved breastfeeding whilst doing bedtime story which wasn't ideal.

Having read back my garbled post I'd like to clarify that I put my baby in a gro bag, looks a bit odd to say I put her in a bag!

10 months in with DC2 and still taking each bedtime as it comes!

It's been a changing thing, but currently (as DS refuses to breast feed in anything less than a dark and silent room):
DD (3) and DS (8 months) in bath together. DS out first, dry, nappy, pj's on. Sits on bathroom floor & plays while DD comes out of bath, dried, nappy & pj's on (v quickly).
DS on my hip while DD brushes teeth.
DD to her bedroom to 'read' her stories and play with toys on her own.
Spend max 10 mins with DS: b'feeding, singing song, into bag and left in cot awake.
Go to DD for story books and anything left of milk.. (trying to move her cup of milk to before bath but it's a slow transition).
DD knows she gets 3 stories as long as she plays patiently in her room while I put her brother to bed.
Bath starts at 6.30, DS in cot at 7 (or near enough), DD had her stories by 7.30. Left awake, usually..
Normally on my own for bedtime 6 nights a week, so well motivated to get to the evening grown up time!
If DS has a disaster, DD given a ten min episode on my I phone..
All works pretty well and we have peaceful evenings but still have a lot of night wakings after 1am (DS) and DD is a horribly early riser!
