DS (9mo) has a a strange habit of croaking/moaning as he's falling asleep. He's done it for months, but it's reached new heady heights recently. Unless he falls asleep on the boob (so only if he's in the buggy/sling/wrap) he opens his mouth really wide and lets forth a very resonant creak/croak. For Ages. And Ages. And Ages. Once for a 4 mile walk...
You can make the sound by doing an impression of the old oak door of a haunted mansion. At the peak of the creak, hold it, open your mouth really really wide and just keep it going. For Ages. And Ages. And Ages.
I don't know if he finds it soothing (can't imagine so) or whether he's fighting sleep with it, but it's driving me up the flipping wall. He'll stop, and lull me into a false sense of security then ramp it up to an all new eardrum-busting pitch and volume.
His sleep has gone to pot (again) lately because he's learning to crawl and has cut 2 teeth and is doing his own head in rolling over every time he wants to sleep, and the creaking seems to have increased with it.
Anyone experienced similar? Anyone? Anyone?
