Dd2 is in the Terrible Twos and this has now stretched to bedtime... [sob]

Dh is currently upstairs trying to placate a screaming furious dd2 who has decided it's not bedtime and is trying to get out of her room.

Threats of no preschool tomorrow aren't working. If she doesn't shut up soon I think my head is going to explode.

Oh we have had this recently. Dd was awful to put to bed and would scream Nd shout so much. Eventually we just used to say to her I will sit here until u calm down. We would then just sit there looking at the floor completely ignoring her. sometimes if she kicked off again we would say if you don't calm down I am going to leave the room etc..This seemed to help loads.
Also she would not let us leave the room once in bed so we would sit with her until she calmed, then it was sitting by the door, then outside the door. She still takes ages to go to bed but with no tantrums.

Needs to cut or drop her nap?
