Today no sleep from 7am-7pm. Not a sausage. Thats fairly typical.

Most nights fed to sleep (although I rouse slightly before putting in cot)and wakes every 2-3 hours from 10pm for a little snuffle (use me as a dummy). Never ever self settles. Won't take a dummy. Tried cc. Cracked at 1 hr 10 mins!!
What next?

Being fed to sleep is pretty normal at 8 months, as is wanting a feed in the night. Most babies will grow out of being fed to sleep all by themselves too. Don't panic though, there are things you can do. Have you tried sticking him in your bed so that you can feed and doze?

Have a read of 12 alternatives for the all night nurser, 31 ways to get your baby to sleep and stay asleep, sleeping through the night and refuses naps.

I wouldn't try CIO for a baby so young either. From what I remember I don't think that even the people who developed the technique recommended it for 8 month olds.

Have a look at this book instead. It's not a quick fix but really helped us with our DS Smile.
