It's 4.50am dd (18 months) has been up and down since 2.30. She is settling herself as long as I'm in the room so I am doing a gradual retreat towards the door, appears to be working as I've made it out twice! Anyway on this latest retreat I was just stepping over the threshold when nature took over and I farted really loudly! DD up like a shot so Back in I went suppressing giggles which has brought on a nasty bout of hic-ups!
I am now sitting on the floor half giggling, hic-upping and trumping my way through the sleep deprivation. I'm not sure if any parenting books would recommend this as a sleeping technique but DD is out for the count and I am smiling instead of pulling my hair out.
