After successful gradual retreat, ds has now decided to kick off again at bed-time.

We broke the association between bf and sleep over weeks of dh putting ds (12 mo) to sleep with a gradual retreat. It worked well and he would go down without a prob for a couple of months.

Now ds has begun to protest at going to bed again. It's agony listening to him cry, even though dh stands outside of door shhh shhh him (going in to pick up when cries increase).

Wwyd? Would you leave him to cry; begin gradual retreat again or do another method,eg cc? I ended up rocking him to sleep last night...

He's been gradually starting nursery over the last month, so perhaps that's contributing? Is 12 months a significant age for sleep?
