It's utterly ridiculous that I'm considering taking my 19mo for a drive to get her to sleep isn't it...

That's it really. I am getting desperate.

I went to sleep at 11 - she woke up at 11.30 ... Work tomorrow, FT, teacher, single mum.

I've posted before. I just need some sleep!!!!

I expect if you set out now you'll find other people doing the same.

Knew two dads who drove round the ring road every night in opposite directions with their babies in the back, waving at each other as they passed

sometimes you just got to do whatever it takes to get some sleep

StateofConfusion · 18/04/2012 00:07

Dp has done it, more than once, and recently, my dd is 3!

You gotta do what you gotta do, hope all is peaceful soon x

Eventhough she's 19months? I might do it then. Thank you. You've made me feel a bit more normal!

Did you get any sleep?

newbabynewmum · 18/04/2012 11:33

I drove for an hour! Ridiculous but I was committed! Got about 3hours in the end... I think I'm going to get my health visitor to come & help me with a sleep strategy as I can't survive like this!

Thank you all xx

just saw this now. Was that at night she wouldn't sleep?

We have an 18 month old who is a terrible sleeper and so I feel your pain. We resorted to driving with our now three year old when she needed to nap during the day, but this was partly due to me needing some rest when pg with DD2.

I am now out of the judging camp and into the 'do whatever works for you to get some sleep' camp. You both need the rest, and you'll function better after it.

Hope things improve x
