Toddler wakes every hour after days out.

Anyone else have this problem?

I feel like I could almost throttle her. This always seems to happen if we've been anywhere that requires a stint of an hour's driving or more each way.

DD normally wakes up 2-3 times for a BF at 17 months. So far tonight she has woken at about 10.30, 11.30, 12.30ish, 2ish, and again just now.

Is there no way out of it????

Does she nap on your days out? If she usually naps well at home but on days out she has a shorter nap or skips her nap completely then I would think she might wake more b/c she is overtired. That's the only thing I can think of really that would increase the occurrence of NW's.

If that is what's happening, then I would try for an earlier BT on those days & see if that helps.

She sleeps on the car both ways, so ends up having more sleep than usual.

Sounds like it's the other culprit - undertiredness! Nightwaking can be caused by either so it's sometimes hard to work out what's going on.
