Until when are babies not allowed to sleep on their front?

My DS is 6 months and I have found him on his front during naps a couple of times. Not sure whether I can leave him like that or if I should risk waking him up by repositioning.

Thanks

leave him. if he can roll over he clearly has the strength to not suffocate.

I was told that once they can move themselves, let them sleep in the position they choose.

Agree, it's not that they're not allowed, it's just don't put him on his front when you put him down, iyswim. If he can roll that's fine, just leave him.

Just carry on putting him on his back, then he'll find whatever's comfiest for him.

Thanks a lot, that makes sense. Another thing I don't need to worry about! :)

My DD has slept on her tummy voluntarily since she learned to roll over. As other posters have said, if they can roll back, they are fine. And if they can't, they generally let you know about it!! :)
