Regression? Phase? Or something we are doing?

20 week old dd generally good sleeper only really waking at night (usually once) for milk (ebf). Naps are pretty consistent in the day- 45mins in morning and 2-2.5 hours over lunch and sometimes a nap in the buggy if we are out about 4pm. She is able to self settle. I am aware of the 4 month sleep regression, however is there anything we could be doing that is contributing to her nighttime sleep being up the spout? I don't rush in at the slightest whimper and we haven't left her to cio. Nothing else has changed and she isn't teething. Co sleeping isn't really an option for us. ANY words of wisdom or shall I just sit tight? :-(

loveis I know, people do look at you funny when you say you've got to go and wake the baby! You wouldn't believe it, but I have a 7yo too, and we woke from naps with him - he was a brilliant sleeper! I am flummoxed with this one though, the big gap has made me feel like a novice Grin

miniccIt's often the way that I sleep badly when he sleeps a longer stretch. I guess my body is so used to waking every three hours or so it just does it by habit now Sad. Hope you get better sleep tonight.

It's weird she's tired so soon after waking though. Not meaning to patronise you at all, but is she definitely tired? I guess she probably is if she's then falling asleep. Stick with it, I guess. Follow her cue and try and stay with some kind of short, long, short nap routine during the day. I sound like I know what I'm talking about, but I really don't haha! Makes me feel a bit better to know I'm not the only one with baby sleep trouble!
