7 week old struggling to sleep with her cold

My DS is wheasing and spluttering so much through congestion she cant settle let alone sleep. I've elevated her cot is there anything else I can do to help her? : (

You can get nasal spray suitable from birth - basically salty water. I think calpol do it. You want the spray stuff as drops are useless for babies. Plus a nasal bulb syringe to extract the snot (after you sprayed).

I also find giving the room a good airing and vacuum helps too.

Agree with the saline spray, definately helps. Plus some drops you can get, suitable from birth that you disolve in hot water and leave the tub somewhere on floor by cot. It smells nice and unblocks noses. Can't think what its called, some kind of menthol thing, a bit like olbas oil for babies. Can get it in any big chemist or supermarket.

Poor little thing, hope he feels better soon.
