Cosleepers/room sharers - what to do about DPs alarm!

Hi all... for those of you sharing a room with your DC, just wondered what you all do about your/DP/DH's alarm in the mornings? It was never really a problem for us before as DS is an early riser, and typically got up before the alarm, but he's improving a bit now (and the clock change helped!) and DP's alarm wakes him up. Obviously we try and switch it off quickly, but it pretty much always results in DS being wide awake immediately!

What do others do? Anyone got any handy tips?

Try having it on vibrate under DP's pillow?! Thats what we resorted too anyway..

My DH's alarm is our phone on the landing so he has to walk to turn it off (he might not get up otherwise!) We've changed it to a gentler ringtone since DD was born but it doesn't wake her. Me, OTOH...

Thanks for the replies ladies :) Hmm, might try the phone under the pillow on vibrate - I reckon it would wake me up even if it didn't him, then I can just nudge him!

Unbelievably my 19 month old sleeps through it - always has..

Perhaps not unbelievably, since so does DP, and I have to nudge him awake to turn it off..... (it's a normal alarm - perfectly loud.. and combined with one of those alarms that slowly gets brighter as waking up time comes around - god knows how either of them sleep through it, doesn't bode well for those sluggish teenage years.
