HI THERE,I'M JUST WONDERING IF ANYBODY HAS ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO KEEP OUR 21 MONTH OLD SON OUT OF OUR MARITAL BED,I'VE TRIED PUTTING A TEDDY IN HIS BED BUT IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE AND BY NOW WE'RE GETTING A BIT FED UP OF HAVING TO GIVE IN AND FOR 1 OF US TO GO AND SLEEP IN HIS BED,AND HE GETS INTO BED WITH THE OTHER 1 JUST TO STOP HIM FROM SCREAMING AND WAKING OUR OTHER 2 SONS UP,SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP,MANY THANKS.

No bargaining, keep taking him back to his bed over and over again. He will get the message eventually. Do not give in.

P.S. STOP SHOUTING.

BABYTAIT · 03/02/2006 16:52

HI THERE,IT'S VERY HARD TO PERSEVERE WITH THIS ESPESCIALLY AS MY HUSBSND WORKS SHIFTS,ONE THING I DON'T DO IS SHOUT AT HIM AS IF I DID I GUESS THAT IT WOULD MAKE HIM WORSE AND NOT WANT TO GO BACK TO SLEEP AT ALL THEN,BUT I'LL KEEP TRYING AND SEE HOW FAR WE GET WITH HIM MANY THANKS.

, I mean stop typing in capitals, not shouting at your DS.

It will only be for a few days, much better than this going on for months/years.

Try to start when you can both catch up on some sleep the next day if needs be.
