I've got to move my 1.5 yr DD in with my DS, 4.5, to share for the foreseeable. I can't imagine how this will work - it takes me a while still to get her to sleep at night, in the silent dark, and DS takes the same to settle himself, singing and chatting loudly. He can share quietly when we have visitors, but he would explode if expected to for more than a couple of nights. He is pretty zonked once asleep so her night-wakings don't worry me so much except that I will have to respond to her more quickly whereas I have felt inclined to push her night-time demands a bit. So do I settle DD first then insist DS is silent going to bed? She sometimes takes ages to settle too. Or do I settle her on our bed and take her through asleep when DS asleep? - easiest solution but not best for helping her understand where her bedroom now is. Experienced advice gratefully received!
