22 month DD will not go to bed!!!

Our DD used to go to bed sooo well, but it's all gone pearshaped after she had a bad cold! We used to read her a story and she'd drop off before 7pm! We have resorted to rocking her in the buggy until she falls asleep but now she just climbs out! So we thought we'd give controlled crying a go.....went up every so often to make sure she knew we hadn't left her, she just screamed the house down and then climbed out of her cot!! Wondering if its time she had a bed and a gate at her bedroom door? She's sat here on the settee next to me not looking in the slightest bit tired!

Any advice appreciated.

Maybe she needs a routine change? Sounds like she might not be tired enough to sleep. What does her current routine look like - wakeup time, nap time/length?

She wakes at 7.30, doesn't have a nap apart from occasionally dropping off for 10 mins or so if shes in the car. Dinner at 4.30/5pm, bath at 6.30, bed at 7....then it goes wrong!! Once she is asleep thats it until morning no waking in the night so that's one good thing!!
