My DD has for a while now only woke for one feed in the night at various times and back down till 8ish. Very often wakes an hour after being put to bed, but nitnflky wind! But last 2 nights she's been waking but seems not to feed! First night she cried. Got her up and she wasn't rooting. Latched her on, and she was asleep before I even let down! This was at 1. She then woke at 5. Brought her to our bed and she just wanted to play!! Eventually rocked her back to sleep half hour later. Anyways... Last nite I swore I wouldn't feed unless she showed signs of hunger. Which she didn't. Was a similar pattern to previous nite. Awake at 12.30 I rocked her back off and put her next to me. Then up again at 4 awake and playing!! Hmmm normally I feed her, she falls asleep and I spend the next few hours trying to get her wind up while she squirms around everytime I try to lay her down. Any ideas?! She's 24 weeks on fri btw xx

Sounds like she might not be tired enough to sleep through without waking. If it's not hunger or pain (teeth?), it may be that her naps need adjusting a little. This can often happen at 6 months.

What is her daytime sleep like? How many naps and for how long?

Teeth can cause problems before you can see or feel them as they descending in the gums. I'm not saying that's the problem, just that it helps to be able to rule out things to get to the cause.

I must say her naps are rarely structured, as i unfortunately have to work a bit and this means put and about alot. On average she tends to have 3 30/40 min naps I reckon. She has Bern dribbling alot, but doesn't seem to be in pain. She is a little grisly today, and her nose has started running :( xx

Oh good lord 5months was the absolute pits, waking anywhere up to 8 times a night for no reason, couldn't settle her without feeding. Did some sleep training worked a dream.
