We have lost control in our house. Currently, DD1 (5) and DD2 (3 months) sleep with me while DS1 (15months) and DH sleep together in DD1's room!

There is a third undecorated (as yet) bedroom and i'm planning on putting DS1 & DD2 there after the easter holidays as we're going away for 2 weeks.

DS1 slept beautifully in a cot next to me until just before DD2 arrived when his cot moved into his big sister's room. They were both excited but that's where trouble started and he now wakes up screaming 3 times a night so is 'labour intensive'.

I want to put him and my new (very sleepy) baby in together but need to sort out his slkeep first. In my mind, he sees a bed and wants to share it so i'll put two cots in there.

Anyone else had two babies sharing in this way. Did it work?

We put 8 mth ds2 into ds1's bedroom when ds1 was 22mths so not disimilar. By and large it's been fine cos ds1 is such a deep sleeper!

Thanks Dizzy. I was feeling confused about what i wanted, until i saw it written down.

Do you think we should move him into a new room, do cc, then introduce DD2? Or just move them into together. I can't believe i'm worried so much but i just can't think straight about it.

DS2 still wasn't sleeping through the night when we moved him and we actually did CC while they were in the same room together - it depends how well the older one sleeps?

I can totally understand why you're agonising about it - we worried for ages! They are now 2 and 3 and it really has been the best thing - although they may have slept in the morning longer if they didn't have each other to play cars with Grin!
