My DD has gone om sleeping 7 - 7+ to waking in the night or very early (5.48 this morning) for the day.

I am all for letting her CIO but she just escalates, has her brother up and the neighbour's lodger banging on his wall (I am totally sympathetic to him and will be going around today to tell him we're trying to sleep train her and say sorry with some ear plugs).

I have tried giving her more food at 6.30pm but she doesn't take much, I have previously had success with this method! I think she is genuinely hungry when she wakes. She has 3×bottles of milk a day and eats OK at mealtimes. I wonder is it time to drop a bottle and let her make it up with solids?

Help me please. I'm alone, truly alone 1 week per month and disrupted sleep gives me without fail a migraine every day. This kills me. We have 2 bed house and as a result cannot move her away from neighbours.

5.48 (nearly 6!) is perfectly normal for many children. I think you just have to accept it and get up. Sorry!

It's awful isn t it -I hate the lack of sleep babies bring ( but love everything else about them Grin )

I ll be interested in peoples responses as I have a similar problem . My only solution is to go and get DD ( 18 months ) out of her cot and put her in the bed with us. This is usually just after 5am every day. She sometimes goes back to sleep but mostly is just annoying - & starts rolling around , pulling hair and standing on my head ! But at least I am lying down .

Will she go back to sleep if you put her in your bed ? ( not that it's ideal , but everyone might get another hour or so )
