Right I'm going to do cc- anyone want to join me?

My dd2 is eating enough during the day and IMHO doesn't need feeding at night (it doesn't settle her at her regular 3am wakings) so I'm going to try cc. I am knackered and it worked for dd1 so I'm going to do it- starting Thursday night.

Anyone want to join me?

Ps this is a support thread.

How old is your DD? I am considering it with my DS as he isn't waking with hunger, doesn't really want to be cuddled and in fact I'm not really sure why he is waking....? However he is only nearly 7 months old.
However working full time and a 1.5 hour commute each way along with constantly broken sleep are making a broken mummy. :(

My dd is the same age! I need to get her used to going through

I'm a bit scared.....but what I'm doing now is clearly not working!!! I need to try something before I'm found rocking in the corner switching the light on and off! Wink

dd is 11 mo. considering starting cc next week, so i am watching. Happy to be in a support thread - let us know how it goes.

seeker · 15/02/2012 07:47

I realise you said this is a support thread so I won't express any opinion. But even person who invented cc said it wasn't suitable for under 12 months.

Just in case you think you are the only person whit a 6 month old who doesn't sleep through- you're not. Loads don't. And a lot of people ho tell you theeirs did/ do aree selectively remembering or fibbing.

Right night 1- dd1 woke at 10, had been at nursery during the day so decided to feed her to ensure she's topped up for the night. Woke at 3am- went in ensured she had her comforter and left. She didn't cry for 15 min but gurgled- so I left her- then she cried so I went in- 325.

Going to go in again at 335.

This needs doing now- she doesn't want feeding and would do this even if we coslept. Plus I nearly crashed driving them both today- so I'm not driving again till sleep is sorted.

That's pretty good then. I'm doing the same and feeding still at the first wake up (anywhere between 10pm-12midnight). Last night he woke at 10.30 I fed (but he didn't take loads) and he slept till 2.30 - he gurgled for a bit and then started moaning....so I went in and tried to settle just by putting my hand on his chest, but he got confused - looked at me a bit Confused and then cried. I gave in and offered milk eventually....but he wasn't hungry - I should have left him. But I'm a chicken and need to get a backbone from somewhere.....do argos sell them? Maybe tonight is the night that I maybe leave him for a while and see what happens.:)

Can I join?

Starting on friday night and absolutely dreading it.

Moving little man into his cot. Been co-sleeping and (stupidly) feeding him to sleep and now hes unable to sleep on his own and wakes up every hour.

Will report results.

buggyRunner · 16/02/2012 10:55

Of course ct were friendly and welcoming here!

I feel like a different person I'm dreading tonioght as its the 2nd and 3rd night that are tough ones!

Well dd went down fine (as always) hope I get some sleep tonight (going to bed now to prevent the knackered giving in and putting dd in my bed later temptation)
