Would it be crazy to introduce a dummy at 6 months?

I have held off giving dd a dummy as i believed it wrecked my sons sleep! As soon as I gave him one he started to wake all night for it so I took it away cold turkey before 6 months.... But dd is now waking ever 1 to 2 hours all night to feed or be rocked.... She was great til 5 months obviously! And so since sleep can't get any worse I thought I could try a dummy for her and attach it to her teddy. She finds him in the night but he doesn't get her off to sleep again sp she rolls around and cries for me...

I tried letting her cry herself to sleep last night (fed to sleep tilnow) and she yelled a lot and for longer than I would like and I am do so so tired (with a 3 year old too) that I can't see crying through (also hate it anyway)....

Any dummy warnings?

She probably wobt take one anyway. She thinks a bottle is interesting but won't suck milk from one. Does chew and chat to it though!

Helpplease!!!!
