Not wanting to sleep and cows milk, any correlation?

Ds turned 1 last week and as the box of formula we had ran Out the day before we gave him cows milk for the last feed of the day (from wednesday) since Friday night bedtime has been a nightmare!

Usually he would take his last bottle about 8.30pm be half asleep by the time he'd finished it and be asleep in 5 minutes and not hear a peep until at least 8am the next day, however, and whether this is just coincidental, he is now having approx 7oz of cows milk which seems to be giving him a second wind so when we put him in his cot he just screams and for the last week bedtime is now between 10 and 11 plus some waking in the night and more early morning shouting.

He is also trying to walk and we've had 2 or 3 steps but nothing more significant, could this be causing him issues with too much going on in his head and the milk issue is just a red herring?

Any thoughts? Thanks

Hi just saw this and wondered if your DS's tummy may be upset with the cowsmilk - you mention that he was formula fed so I assume that an allergies/intollerances may have been picked up before now but just a thought?

Try stopping the cows mill and use ready made formula for a week (to save you buying a carton)?

Thanks, we have changed his last feed to aptimal and we've had 3 out of 5 nights sleeping through, one was very unsettled and last night was fidgety. He has cows milk for his morning bottle plus his breakfast but I think he may be teething too as has been snotty for over a week, bless him!
