13mo is bf to sleep and we need to break this cycle - help

At about 8 months we did a kinder type of controilled crying (spaced soothing - me in the room, 1 min then 2 mins then 3 mins up to 5 mins) and after a couple of nights she got good at getting herself to sleep. But this was before she could stand up. Now if we put dd to bed awake she just cries and stands up. If we leave room the screaming becomes horrendous and she thrashes about a bit bashing her head.

I just don't knopw what to do in terms of getting her to go to sleep in the cot rather on me.

Help...

Give it time Smile. She'll not do this forever. You'll know when she's ready for things to change.
