Hello ladies.

I have been given 2 lovely grobags and also some swaddling blankets...
I have some questions and would love some advice as I am getting in a real pickle (birth nerves and aching SPD plus possibly a lack of chocolate this morning)

  1. If swaddling you would also need a blanket in the cot?
  2. Can you mix between swaddling and the bags - do some babies just like one more than the other?
  3. Should I just see what kind of baby I have before I fore off and buy more blankets and bags?!

OOh, thats it for now!

Thanks muchly. :)

  1. No unless your house is v cold. You don't want to overheat baby.
  2. Your baby will probably prefer one or the other. And let you know!
  3. Very sensible! 2 gro bags will be plenty to start off anyway.

Good luck!

My ds loved to be swaddled for a fair months to start with, followed by swaddling with one arm out. I just had him swaddled in a blanket as I have a ridiculously warm house anyway, but at my moms would pop a light blanket over him (he never moved during the night). Once he started rolling we switched to grobags which is what we use now at 12 months.

Some of my friends babies didn't get on with swaddling at all so they were in grobags pretty much from the off (although I think almost all babies like being wrapped up for the first few weeks).

You're in the perfect position - you've got both, wait and see what your little one likes :)

hiya, we love The Gro Company in our house! So, only swaddle with blankets or swaddles made for swaddling - too much fabric can mean your dc overheats. Don't use a grobag and swaddle together, your dc will probably be too little for a grobag anyway.
Don't use a blanket with your Grobag, check the temperature of your dc's room and dress her accordingly. Good luck! x
