Dd just turned 1. If I don't do a feed around 11pm then she just wakes ravenous around 3am. Help

Oh yes. My 14 month old twins need feeding at 11/12pm ish, then again another twice (each!) before waking for the day (and so having a morning feed) at about 6am. We cosleep, it's the only way I can do it.

I have no advice for you, just sympathy and understanding. I can't stand the thought of any sleep training involving crying, so we plough on with feeding, cuddling, dummies etc and I keep chanting this too shall pass ....

Thank you. Poor you. Co- sleeping with twins. Wow. Our sleep got better when we did a controlled crying lite thing ie I stayed in room, never did longer than 4 mins, smothered with kisses whenever i did pick up. Two awful nights then fine from night three. Then we went on holiday and then teething then throat infection and all gone to pot. As soon as new year over (too many parties or family visits to impose any order) I am going to do it again.

my 11 month old wakes btween 1 and 3 and we feed him 5oz but he has not setteld back down well since we cut this bottle from 8oz we are thinking of moving this feed to 11pm when we go to bed to see if he stays settled!

I think it is just all so unpredictable. Last night my DD fed once between bedtime and morning, it was only a little feed (probably more for comfort than hunger, and possibly only because her brother woke her up.

Tonight, she has just completely guzzled both sides (bf). All business, get the milk down guzzling, making me think she was starving. She had an enormous tea tonight, followed by about half a gallon of yogurt
and a rice cake. Surely she can't be more hungry tonight than after a
mediocre tea last night Confused

Dd is 15m and still has a feed at 10/11pm. She eats like a horse most days, seriously I have never seen a baby / toddler eat so much but she still seems to need this feed. It isn't for comfort either I don't think because she self settles all the time almost (except when teething/ill) and hates being cuddled etc (much to my annoyance)

Second the unpredictable. Mine is up for a feed between 11 and 12 then has snacks during the night as we cosleep and BF. We don't have much routine though, especially school holidays and I don't do any form of CIO, probably be different if I had to work but perhaps not as every little change is a big thing to them and they go through these development spurts. Can anyone give you a lie in or a break?
