Baby waking and rolling over, then falling asleep on front!

Hi, not sure what is best to do here. 19 week old DS had been sleeping from 9pm through until 6 or 8am since about 8 weeks old. For the last couple of weeks he has started waking up again during the night - about 3am ish. The 1st few nights he did this I managed to get him back to sleep without feeding, now he won't settle down unless I feed - he is EBF. Annoyingly he wakes up again just as I put him back in his cot and then rolls over (has been rolling from back onto front since 14 weeks and now I can't make him stay on back if I lie him down!)
He doesn't cry, but makes quite a bit of noise - mostly gurgles and 'chatter', 9 times out of 10 finds his thumb then falls asleep. I try gently flipping him back over once he looks fast asleep, but when I go back to my room I can hear him on the monitor rolling back over so have to go back to sort him out. I put him to sleep in a sleeping bag so am not worried about him getting tangled up in sheets or blankets, WWYD - leave him on front or keep going and turning risking waking up again and again?
On another note I am wondering whether all this waking up for feeds is a normal 4 month growth spurt, or sleep regression, or is it a sign it is time for early weaning?

The waking sounds normal for the sleep regression/growth spurt.

Weaning doesn't sort out sleep problems (nor does FF before anyone suggests it to you) - if it did then all babies would sleep through at 6 months old, and all FF babies would sleep through (they don't!)

If he can roll from his front to his back if he chooses, I'd leave him be.

Thanks - I think I might see how he is for next couple of weeks before deciding about weaning. He doesn't roll from front to back as readily as from back to front, only a few times during the day when we have been playing on playmat - had gone right over all the way once or twice in the last week... He has just right now fallen asleep in the middle of playmat on his front, and looks rather comfy - can't get him to nap during the day much he just falls asleep like this every now and again!
