Hello,
Has anyone else had this problem, my d.d has started to wake about 3 am every night and she screams so hard that at first i thought she was really distressed, but now i think she just wants a cuddle. If i pick her up she settles against me immediately and if I put her back she screams again until i bring her to our bed. I know i shouldn't be doing this but i work 3 days a week and am knackered and have a 4 year old who as just started school so i don't want him to be disturbed and a hubby who has early starts. She doesn't seem hungry, thirsty or teething but just seems to want a cuddle and chat. Can anyone help me, she is going thru a really clingy phase at mo so could this be what's causing the waking. I went back to work in july and she then started nursery 2 days a week, but loves it, but i wonder if its the changes making her like this?

My dd2 did this at around the same age and it was very difficult to settle her back down and in the end we just used to bring her in with us and all snuggle down together. Not an ideal solution i know but as we were both working and had other children in the room we had to prioritise and getting a half decent night sleep came out tops.

We also used to give her the odd bottle Blush to get her to settle back down, sometimes worked, sometimes didn't.

You have my sympathies and sorry I'm not much help, we just did the same as you. Hopefully someone will be along soon who can help.

fwiw dd2 is now 4 and has slept brilliantly since she was 2.5

Thanks Sheep, no i agree, i just wanted someone to endorse that its ok to bring her to our bed as you get told so often not too. To be honest I don't mind her being with us cos they grow up so fast. Ironically she slept thru last night but my d.s had us up all the hours with a bad cough. Can't win! Thanks for answering.
