Patting or rubbing back - how long for? Start rubbing back just before jolt? I know he wants to stay asleep at 20 min but can't seem to do it while keeping him in cot...

My children seemed to take about 10 minutes to return to a deep sleep. However I'd just hover by the cot and shush/ pat for a short time until they seemed calm and still and then sneak away Smile They never slept for more than 45 mins at a time at this age though.
