I can't believe I would ever worry about this considering ds didn't sleep more than 2 hours at a time until he was 8 months old, but now at 14 months I'm worrying that he may be sleeping too much.

On a normal day at home with me he can have a 2 to 2 and a half hour nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. He will then sleep for 12 hours at night.

As I said this is on a quiet normal day at home, if we are out during his no times or have visitors he won't sleep...sometimes all day because he's too excited.

I thought they were supposed to drop naps at about this age?

I wondered about this too.

My DD is 19 months. She has at least 12 hours straight a night (last night 7pm til 10am) and at least 2 hours in the day. I don't wake her as I figure if she wants to sleep, let her. But can they sleep too much?
