Help Please!!!!!!!!
my ds is 18 months and still does not sleep right through the night. He goes to bed at about 7.30pm and is fine sleeps up until about 12 then we are up about 6 times until morning when he finally awakes at 6.30 (as we have to take him out to go to work), beggining to become a problem though as my dh and I both work FT and im expecting another in April???

He will only go back to sleep with his bottle never really finishes the whole bottle throughout the night though. Wont go back to sleep if left crying turns hysterical and wont go back with just patting and soothing.

Any ideas need to get some sleep before newone arrives??????

Not really any ideas, but great sympathy.

DD2 has only slept through a handful of times and is 16 months.
She isn't waking for a bottle, but usually for her dummy.

Perhaps you should only offer water, or nothing at all.

I do leave him if he just has a wiggle and then drops off his self but tried the NO BOTTLE way and failed terribly just screamed himself into not breathing then we all suffered so gave in.

But will give water ago i think this evening and see how he goes or could I water his normal bottle down do you think so half water and half milk until its nothing?????

Not sre. Is it cows milk? If it is formula then yes. If cows milk, don't know how it mixes!

Glad I have found this thread. DD is nearly 17 months and is the same as your DS Clair, she goes to bed between 7 and 7.30, then from about 11 right through til 6.30 she must wake up once every hour for her dummy. It is only for her dummy because as soon as she ha it back again she goes off.
I have tried putting 3 dummies on her cot in the hope she will find at least one of them but even that doesn't work.
What else can I do - It is absolutely exchausting me out as I am the only one get up - DP has to leave for work at 6am so isn't fair for him to keep waking up. Although i work, it is only mornings.

Yes we do that too, but they inevitably end up on the floor.

The last couple of nightss she has actually slept all night and it was quite strange to wake in the morning and wonder whether we had got up to her1

seem to end up doing it in my sleep!!

No advice just sympathy. These threads are keeping me sane as at least I know that at 3am, I'm not the only one dragging myself up.

Don't forget that if he's used to his bottle being warm then he may take better to the water if you warm that too. Once he's off milk and taking the water you can gradually reduce the temp.

Let us know if anything works.

Better ight last night.

Do you know, I think she sleeps through if she has had more sleep in the day.
So yesterday she had 2 hr nap. Slept all night.
Day before she had 1 hr, woke a lot in the night.
Day before that she had 2 naps (in the car) and slept through.

Any other ideas for us poor tired mummies?
