my ds is 18 months he goes to sleep at 7.15 and is waking 5.15 bad day 5.45 good day. Is it ok to give a morning bottle to help him settle back to sleep or is this a bad habit?
At this age should I encourage him to one big afternoon nap or is two naps a day ok?

That should read, 'hours' - fingers are still cold from our walk!

Kjaysmum I absolutely would NOT worry about the bottle and teat. I have three DSs - the oldest is six and he didn't give up having bottles until he was 3 3/4. He has excellent teeth - we went to the dentist last week and the dentist complimented him on how good his teeth are. I am sure that as long as they only have milk or water from the bottle, not juice or squash, and you clean his teeth at bedtime and after breakfast, he should be fine. My youngest is 16 months and I'm in no hurry to get him off bottles.

hello all, well it didn't last...I suspect he's starting to teeth again but he woke at 2 am then 4 am when I brought him into our bed ( a big mistake methinks) for a bottle and teething remedies but he writhed and tossed and turned and then started crying again I put him back in his bed so DP could get some sleep before work he cried till 6 am got him up for breakfast he was so tired put him back at 8.30 and he slept for 1.5 hours... got to be teething I guess
