Hi Everyone.

For some reason my 1 month old son Max always seems to fall asleep to the song "Whatever you want" by Status Quo!!

I thought that was pretty funny!

I wanted to know what strange songs do your babies fall asleep to?

Maybe we could make a mumsnet playlist!

My DH used to sing the drugs don't work by the verve to DD when she was newborn, she loved it.

Oh I know what not to sing to a baby or toddler at bedtime!

I was looking after my grand daughter (2), and expected her to be tired when I put her to bed, but she didn?t settle as quickly as she usually does. So I sang ?Kum by yah? to her. She listened as I droned through verse after verse after verse. ?Someone?s singing, Lord, kum by yah. Someone?s running Lord, kum by yah. Someone?s dancing, reading, cooking, SLEEPING, Lord, kum by yah.? She sang along a little, and then when I ran out of things that someone was doing, Lord, I slipped in a repeat of the SLEEPING, Lord, verse. I was hoping that she was dropping off to sleep and thought she wouldn?t notice, but she piped up meekly ?Already had that one?. Then I realised I was keeping her awake by singing, as she staying awake in order to guess what someone was going to do next, Lord ...

You can always come to me for advice on what not to do.

Puff the magic dragon is a favourite in this house.

I've just started singing 'Dream a little dream' to my 3 month old as I'm rocking /burping before I put her down. Can't say that she notices mind. Am hoping eventually to create some sort of Patrician response Grin

Sodding autocorrect. Pavlovian not Patrician.
