she is driving me around the bend!

She will be 10 end of August. Has always gone to bed well, always woke around 6 ish, but I think that was to do with her twin sister who has special needs being so noisy! She tends to wake later now, maybe around 7am

For the last 2 weeks she has had trouble going to sleep and calls us to tell us. I can hear her now whistling away , it's 9.45pm

She went to bed at 9 tonight as she had ben at Brownies and I had to pop to the shop afterwards, otherwise on school nights she tends to go up around 8/ 8.15 but she loves reading so has a read till around 8.30/40

I dont know what to tell her! She shouts down to me shed cant sleep but I cant do anything. Sometimes I say read for another 10 mins! I know its awful lying there not being able to sleep but I dont know what Im supposed to do?

thanks

Maybe she needs a way to relax before reading so a warm bath and a warm drink?

Dd1 has trouble getting to sleep, she's 7.5 and seems to be going to sleep later (8 ish) and still wakes by 6am, some children just need less sleep so she may need to stay up later.
