Went for 1 nap, it was short, now what do I do?

DD is 15.5 months old. She usually has a very short morning nap and long afternoon nap. However, some days she wants to stay up all morning so I put her down at noon for one nap. Today, I thought she might do with one nap, but by 10:30am I knew I was wrong. But by then, we were out and there was no sleeping happening in the car on the way home. So I fed her an early lunch and put her down at noon. She had a very short sleep and is awake now very unhappy but won't go back to sleep. She woke at 1:45pm after only 1.5 hours and while that is enough for some babies, it will never do for her. So my question is: do I try for a late afternoon nap? Do I put her to bed at 6pm? Or do I put her to bed at usual time - knowing she will have a second wind but probably be quite overtired?

Early bedtime. That's what I do!
