Anyone have a Pekemoe that I could borrow to see if DD2 likes it?

Having major sleep issues with DD2 (7 months). She has only recently stopped being swaddled, and progressed from a hammock to a cot, and I think she may be a little bit cold, though she likes the freedom of being able to spread out.

She doesn't like sleeping bags, I've just wasted £22 on a thin sheet one from JoJo which just seems to annoy her. I've seen the Pekemoe recommend on here a few times but I was wondering before I throw even more money at this sleep problem if someone had one I could borrow to try out on her.

Or just any other baby sedatives tips would be gratefully received.

Hi Bumper. I have one you could borrow, but it's a small one (size 00). My DS is 7 months and I had to buy the bigger size (well, 2 actually!) as he was too long for the small one at just over 6 months. How big is your DD? You could have a look on the website and see if you think you might like to try it, and I'd gladly send you it.

As I think you know, we had issues with weaning off swaddling but we've had lots of success with the pekemoe. It is so lovely to see him all stretched out and comfy looking after the months of swaddling!

Thanks Beingblonde, that is great! I will check out the website and attempt to measure her. It doesn't matter if it is nearly too small as I just need to give it a try and if it works I can buy the next size. I do remember you having swaddling problems. We didn't actually have any problems giving up the swaddle in the end, didn't make her sleep any better but no worse either. But now she fights anything being put on her!

Fingers crossed it might work then! It did take a few tries for us, and I used it for daytime naps before nighttime. DS still won't entertain a normal sleeping bag, so maybe your baby is the same and will love the pekemoe! Just let me know if you want it.

Beingblonde, just measured her and she is on the cusp of sizes. Some else PMed and has a large one but is not sure if she has it handy. If she can't find it it would be great to borrow yours, I'll let you know when I hear.
