My 9 month old DS is fully weaned, loves food...happily tucks into 3 good meals a day...he has never liked milk - odd for a baby, but there you go. He was only on 2nd centile at birth and due to his milk adversion put on weight slowly and is still rather small now..(17lb) however he's healthy and fine, developing well. I have always fed him milk at night as it's the only time he takes it (being half asleep) but it's starting to really wear me down now. He wakes up almost like clockwork every 4 hours - tbh I have never left him to cry it out (have DD who i really don't want to wake up) - should i just let him cry it out? I have tried just offering water but he refuses and cries. Also I am sure he probably needs some milk still and as he's not taking it in the day I'm not overly confident about taking away the night feeds..although i do try to make his solid diet calcium rich. has anyone any advice at all?

Hi Apricots, I'll be really interested in the answers on this because I am in exactly the same boat DS 9months (he is about 20lbs though). I have been considering stopping night feeding because I think it might be the cause of him waking up but he will glug a full bottle down in the middle of the night which makes me think he still needs it. Friends have suggested stopping feeding at nights but I am not sure.

DS doesnt have milk in the daytime except on his weetabix at breakfast.
