20 month old wakes at 3am every night

Help! My DC2 wakes up every night between 2 and 3 am, standing in her cot and yelling. If I put her in bed with me, she will settle back to sleep fine. Some nights, if I settle her back down in her cot with a little pat then she goes back to sleep, others (like last night) we then have an hour + of her screaming and me to and fro. She settles well in the evening and sleeps soundly until then.

How do I break this 3am cycle? Leaving her to cry doesn't seem to make any difference... has anyone else had this? What did you do?

Are they hungry? Sometimes I give my DS a supper of weetabix to fill them up. I find te sleep through when that happens!

I have a 21 month old who also does this. Any suggestions also welcome. How do I eventually get her to sleep through?

I have heard good things about wake to sleep

but what do I know - I have a 20m old who is usually up 3 times a night - 5 on a bad night, 2 on a good night

My 23 month old wakes around 2-3am. I give him a bottle of milk. I know you're not meant to do that, but it sends him off to sleep again.

Actually I should start a thread asking how to break this habit. Confused

Well I feed DD every time
No doubt that's why she keeps waking but at the moment I need more sleep before I could begin to tackle it!
