1 year old wont sleep in travel cot !!!

my little girl sleeps really really well in her cot. she used to sleep in her travel cot about once a week awithout problems although she has not done this for 4 months. i tried her in it a week ago and she was frantic !!. we go camping in two weeks and on holiday in 4 can anyone make any suggestions on how to get her used to it again ??

Hi Belinda, I wonder if your LO is just becoming more sensitive to her environment? Sorry if this sounds a bit obvious, but have you tried making it as close as possible to her normal cot ie same toys, sheets, blankets, whatever you normally have. Also have you tried putting in an extra mattress to make it more comfortable? My DD stopped sleeping in her travel cot but we bought a travel cot mattress and it seemed to help. Another thing to try (although difficult if camping) is a travel black out blind to make the room completely dark. Then DD won't know that she's being put down somewhere different. Good luck. You may just find it is a phase and she's ok next time, fingers crossed!
