We put him in a toddler bed as he could climb out of his cot and we were concerned about him injuring himself. He's always woken through the night but could usually be persuaded back to sleep in his cot.
He goes off fine in his bed, but when he wakes up he won't settle and is screaming "mummy muuuuummy" and getting very agitated very quickly to the point of near-hyperventilation which is quite out of character. This can be as early as 11pm, so no bugger is getting any sleep.
I either end up sleeping in his bed with him, or he comes in with us. Not ideal, he's a sharp-elbowed wriggler.
This has been going on for a fortnight. Should we regress back to the cot, or stick with the bed?
