I strongly believe in attachment parenting and giving my dd an abundance of love, not letting her cry if i can. I've always breastfed her to sleep, and if that doesnt work my partner rocks her in his arms to sleep, but recently she screams when she's tired when he picks her up, she's so clingy with me! We've tried being stubborn but her cries get worse and it's too upsetting for all of us, so i have to do everything. I would never leave her in our bed to cry, but is it best being cruel to be kind? Would she get used to dad rocking her to sleep again if we just let her cry? Please tell me this is just a phase!

They do go through difficult phases with sleep IME. I don't think it is cruel to allow her dad to rock her to sleep but if she settles faster with you then that may be best course of action for time being.

Have you tried popping out for half hour and leaving your partner to it?

Mine have always been like this, I think it is normal, especially when BF etc. I don't think leaving her to cry on her own is a good idea but if your partner is happy to deal with her then I don't think it is cruel to let him rock her to sleep. Unfortunatly for me my husband was useless and didn't help out, but I wish he did as my kids are still like it at 2 and 3!
