dd is nearly 11 mo, bf and weaning beautifully, 3 meals a day eats pretty much anything you put in front of her.
i bf at her bed time (7 pm ish) and usually again at my bedtime (10 - 11ish she wakes herself up for this feed) but she is still waking at least once, often twice in the night sometime between 12 and 6. moer if she is teething
she was 6 weeks prem and iugr and still is tiny (0.4 centile now up to 2nd) so i didnt begrudge her the extra nutrition when she was younger, but should i be trying to drop these feeds? i worry she would benefit more from the unbroken sleep and i'm damn sure i would!
if so anyone got any experience of the best way of going about this?

I'm still feeding my 18mo DS at least once in the night

If you are still OK with it then I'd continue as you are, as long as the feeds are low key and she goes straight back to sleep after. I always found night training difficult though, so I'm probably not the best person to give advice. To me it seems easier to give them a 10 minute feed than face nights of screaming. When I've tried to give up night feeds I offer water and cuddles first and only feed if they are very insistent.

Good luck.

thanks purveyor. I completely agree with you, it seems to me that its easier to give her what she wants because then she just goes back to sleep happy (and so do i)
we dont turn any lights or make any fuss, on she just cuddles up, feeds and zonks out -apart from the rude awakening i actually quite enjoy the sleepy snuggles with her
just wondered if i was being ridiculous. glad i'm not!

my dd still feeds couple of times in the night at 15months. It just seems easier to lie there dozing while she feeds than to have the stress of her getting all upset.
