Every night for the last week or so - just when he'd started to sleep through. Any suggestions?

make sure you're not giving him fruit for tea. that can cause them to poo in the night. banana is fine but i would avoid any other fruits. does this always wake him up? can he not go back to sleep afterwards?

Thanks for replying, breadandhoney. Good point about the fruit - he is a total fruitbat and would live on the stuff if I let him. Will try limiting him to mornings only.

The poo does always wake him up and after his nappy is changed he then needs warm milk in a bottle to get him back off to sleep. Just when I was thinking of trying to get him off the bottle!

DS1 did this 5 nights out of 7 from about 14 months until about 2, then it just stopped. Never did find a solution I'm afraid- no pattern with what/ how much he ate. Fortunately it didn't wake him and we could change him without waking him most of the time.
