Almost 4 year old waking and coming to my bed each night

How can I stop my son waking in the night and coming to my bed?
I put him back when I wake up but mostly I wake and he is there. I have resorted to getting in his bed but he has started following me there. I'm getting grumpy with him which i'm unhappy about as he doesn't do maliciously. Any ideas? Going to change his bed to see if that helps.

Watching with interest.

My almost 5 year old DS1 does this - sneaks in and then I don't notice until he starts fidgeting at 6am, at which point it's too late to put him back in his own bed as he just gets up for the day.

I need it to stop - I love him but feel like my personal space is being invaded and it's sending me a bit batty, especially as DS2 is like a limpet at the moment.

Sorry, this isn't helping is it!

Glad to know we aren't alone! We take delivery of a new bed on Monday to see if that helps. The one he is in is very old.

Feel your pain - just turned 3 yr old used to sleep really well and even for 1st 3 months in his own bed was fine but recently wants to sleep in 'mummys bed'

Have tried bribery and threats to no avail

if i hear him coming and try to stop him all hell breaks loose and he screams until he is nearly sick

if i get to him before he gets out of bed it just means i have to sit with him till he falls asleep and end up doing this sometimes 3 times in the night !! Aaaghhh!!

any ideas gratefully received
