Why, why, why didn't I use White noise earlier?

I've had a (free!) white noise app on my phone since DS was born and only last night did I actually use it. I was desperate as he is I'll and is waking up crying. A little white noise and a gentle agitation and he's back to sleep.

Oh the sleep I could have had!

How old is your DS? - just wondering if I've left it too late to try this magic with my dd.

My DS is 9 months too and it worked straight away. Trying different noises now to see which is best. A waterfall is good!

I will warn you, enjoy it while it lasts! Detuned radio and hairdryer both used to send DS off but one day (probably not much over a year) he was suddenly utterly unimpressed!

Not trying to rain your parade, just have a back-up plan...

No! No! Don't tell me that!

another one to piss on your chips - it only lasted about a month before DS was wise to the trick. what a month that was though

He was falling asleep to it last night when he rolled over, grabbed the iPhone and started prodding the screen, turning various bits of White noise on and off.

Oh well.
