as the title says really. she goes to bed about 6.30pm but though I try to put her to bed later she is exhausted by then and really needs bed, but converse of this is she thinks it is morning before I do. Maybe the clocks changing will help this but wondered if anyone has any tips?

Hi yellowflowers - not sure if this would work with other babies but worth a try - with my DD (now 14 months old) right from when she was tiny whenever she woke before 7am we would just act like it was the middle of the night, that is keep the room quiet and dark and boring, no talking to her, and try to re-settle her back to sleep with a bit of a cuddle. Now if she wakes before 7 she always just resettles herself. Hope this helps

Yes, just act like you would if she woke up at 3am, or 2am. It's always more tempting just to give in and get up once it gets past 5am - well, not that tempting!

On the other hand, we sometimes just bring DS (6months) in with us and pretend to be asleep ourselves, that can get another couple of hours sleep out of him, although we are probably just being soft on him.
