I can't bare it, 6am I could just about handle, but this is the middle of the night as far as I'm concerned! (and is sometimes 4.30, 4.45am) Doesn't help that he's a really bad napper during the day which I'm working hard on.

Will he just grow out of this or do I need to nip it in the bud soon?

He's going down by 8pm with a 3am feed, so it can't be because he's hungry if he's going so long at the beginning of the night. I have tried feeding at 5am just in case and put him back down but it doesn't work.

I have also tried shssh pat, pick up put down, pick up cuddle, rock etc. and changed his nappy in case it's that. Nothing seems to be working, he is alert and ready to go for the day.

It just makes me want to sob and starts my day on such a downer - any help gratefully received!

My DS was doing this. I changed my routine by putting him down later at night (hard to keep them awake I know!) and didn't give him his bath/feed until about 9.30. Then I got him settled and he would sleep until about 4, wake up for a feed and go down again til 9! It might also be worth having a look at blackout blinds as the light could be waking him up. It took me about a week to get him into this routine, and some days it doesnt work, but the mornings where I'm not up til 8/9 are great!
