Hi, sorry prob. a silly question, but are you supposed to put a blanket ontop of the growbag? I cant remember now but i'm sure I read somewhere that you do.
My DD is 9 1/2 months old and I use a 2.5 tog grown bag. Just wondering if I need to put a blanket on top or should I double layer her clothes esp. the arms as they are always out and I feel she may get cold.
Let me know your thoughts x

No - just the grobag and clothes. The number of layers of clothes depend on the temperature of the room see link. If you add a blanket then you negate one of the main reasons to use a grobag - to stop the covers falling off or riding up over the baby's head. Also remember that their hands might feel cold, but their core body temperature is what matters - my DD sucks her thumb so her hand gets wet and then cold.

I have a small sheet or muslin over my son as he likes to grab it in the night and hold on to it, most on the time he wears a long sleved vest and then a 2.5 tog bag if its very cold then a baby grow / sleep suit with a short sleeved vest under a 2.5 tog bag. the room starts off at 10pm at about 19 degrees but falls over night to about 17.

Our house is warm, prob around 23degrees. Ds wears short sleeved vest and a sleepsuit, and a 2.5tog grobag. He sleeps (touch wood) for approx 9-10 hours a night so is clearly quite comfortable
