Help please - 6 month old suddenly won't sleep in his cot

My 6 month old has always been very good at sleeping in his cot (right up next to my bed) and would wake for a feed then I could put him back in the cot and he'd go to sleep.

However, the last couple of weeks I have ended up cosleeping all night because he won't settle in the cot once he has woken up for a feed but as soon his head hits our mattress he's gone. He also won't nap during the day without sleeping on or next to me.

I like co sleeping but it's not practical because dh is a heavy sleeper so I have to sleep in the middle. This is ok while I have the cot right next to the bed but also, ds has started crawling and standing up so I don't like him having the freedom to potentially fall out of bed!

Does anyone have any tips on how to get him to sleep in the cot again without using cc or cio?

My Son has been the same, figured out it was a 6 month growth spurt. He just wouldn't settle after his 11pm feed so would put him in bed with us, but then realised I wasn't doing him or us any favours by doing that! So the last 3 nights I've just rocked him back to sleep, not leaving his room and popped him back in his own bed when he's asleep. He's slept so much better since. :)
