Hi all - my DS1 settles fine, with his last bottle and then sleeps but wakes up at 3/3.30am and cries until he is placed into the bed then is off to sleep again! i have tried being hard with him but he cries for ages and ends up waking up the other children, DH can sleep through it but its then hard for me to get a good sleep for im aware he is in and worry about our covers & pillows. i then have to get up at 7.10am deal with others kids and school, then i have to get ready to go work, its not a long day but just dont get a good night sleep, - advice please!!!!! smile

hi - how old is ds and what kind of bed set up have yoy got?

I don't think it's a case of being 'hard' but I think you have to encourage him to go back to sleep in his own bed, even if it means a few tricky nights until he gets the message. Co-sleeping works for some people but there's no point having a happy, relaxed baby if you're sleep-deprived and miserable. Sleeping in your bed post 3am is a nice habit he's got into and he won't give up that habit without a fight.... but that's probably the only way. Persistence! Good luck

@zimm - he has turned 1 in jan!
cot right (arms length) beside my bed, but have to get up to get him out!
@Chil1234 - he can really cry and he throws all toys out in a bid for freedom!
real tears no fake stuff! saying mum, mum, mum!
